PRENLYN

About Prenlyn

For fifty years, we've worked to make good businesses even better.

Prenlyn is a third-generation operating company. We acquire, own, and grow businesses with disciplined systems, experienced local leadership, and a long-term view.

Our company

A family company, from the beginning

The name Prenlyn combines the names of founders Prentice and Evelyn Beers. In 1976, the family opened its first Midas location in Philadelphia and began building the business one operation at a time.

Three generations later, the family still owns Prenlyn and works alongside an experienced leadership team. Automotive service remains the foundation of the company and the place where its operating approach has been proven over decades.

As Prenlyn grows, the premise remains straightforward: own for the long term, give capable leaders the support to operate well, and stay accountable to the people and communities each business serves.

How we operate

The principles behind the company

Prenlyn combines family ownership with professional operations. These principles shape how the company supports each business.

  1. 01

    Own with a long horizon

Prenlyn buys businesses to operate them. Decisions are made for enduring performance, not a short-term exit.

  2. 02

Keep leadership close to the work

Local and regional leaders stay connected to customers, teams, and the daily realities of each operation.

  3. 03

    Build systems that support people

Shared training, processes, and operating support give teams a stronger foundation without losing local accountability.
